Sustainability
Every little helps and we can all do our bit to help look after people and the planet. Few can claim to be completely eco-friendly but I'm aiming to avoid excess and waste where possible. Learning along the way!
Paper goods
The papers I use are not only lovely, but also sustainable using a mix of FSC certified paper sourced from sustainably managed forests, recycled paper and post-consumer waste paper.
The Studio envelopes are made by FSC accredited British manufacturers and come in a variety of colours from traditional British mills. Large format signage is printed on recyclable cardboard, ensuring that our products are eco-friendly from start to finish.
The Studio note cards are designed to be versatile and can be framed by you or your recipient, while our art prints are printed on archival paper that will last for up to 80 years. So not only are you getting a beautiful product, but one that will stand the test of time.
Studio setup
I've gone digital for most tasks and only use eco-friendly materials for packaging. I work with trusted suppliers who share my commitment to looking after the planet.
When it comes to deliveries, I love taking walks or using public transport to drop them off at the Post Office. I bulk print orders to limit the number of delivery runs, and for items larger than A3, they're drop shipped directly to you to reduce carbon emissions. And guess what? I currently use zero printed marketing materials!
Oh, and those note cards you receive with your deliveries? They're printed on eco paper with minimal ink and are designed for multi-use. I use them for general correspondence, orders, thank you notes, and more. How cool is that?
Packaging
When you receive a package from me, it may not be fancy, but it's definitely green! I reuse boxes and packaging materials to minimise waste. No luxurious packaging just a brown or white box or envelope with a sticker on so you know it’s from the Studio.
Products are usually wrapped in plain tissue paper or compostable cello bags for protection and sometimes padded with shredded paper (or reused bubble wrap from other deliveries!).
